Summary/Objective  
The Clinical Supervisor works with the Director of Clinical Services and a team of BCBAs and Behavior Technicians to provide a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The Supervisor consults, provides training to caregivers, and conducts behavioral evaluations of clients and designs behavior and individual support plans for clients. The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, communicating and continually evaluating the effectiveness of functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans and individual education plans for clients on their caseload. The Supervisor is a clinical teacher who educates, observes, assesses, and supervises the educational activities and service delivery of Behavior Technicians trainees and BCaBAs. The Supervisor is required to adhere to the BACB’s Ethics Code  for Behavior Analysts® . The Supervisor maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.

 

Essential Functions 

·      Administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures 

·      Develops individualized goals and objectives for programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data 

·      Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives 

·      Trains clinical staff on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems 

·      Is responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting weekly supervision meetings with BCBAs and Behavior Technician’s.

·      Meets regularly with the Director of Clinical Services and notifies her/him immediately of issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction 

·      Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Director of Clinical Services

·      Oversees and directs the scheduling of BCBAs and Behavior Technician’s as needed and ensure proper billing 

·      Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours according to Florida Behavior Support, LLC’s policies and state and federal regulations 

 

Fulfills responsibilities by demonstrating the following: 

Supervises cases with appropriate frequency 

  • Supervision Summary Sheets completed 

Develops client goals  

  • Align with Assessment data 

  • Match items in Documented Reports 

Reviews data and monitors client progress weekly 

  • Graphs up to date 

  • Targets/goals updated within a week of mastery 

Behavioral approach to intervention 

  • ABC Data for all problem behavior identified for reduction 

  • Functions identified 

  • Replacement behaviors identified 

Makes Program Updates as needed 

  • Goals added and removed as data and ongoing assessment indicates 

Creates appropriate data sheets 

  • Dimension being tracked is significant 

  • Type of data collection is feasible for employees 

  • Data is a reliable measure  

  • IOA done at onset of program to increase validity of data 

Provides Parent / guardian(s) training 

  • Goals for {Parent / guardian (s)} identified and quantified 

  • Use Behavioral Skills Training protocol 

  • Written feedback notes 

Conducts assessments 

  • At minimum the frequency required by case insurance 

  • Progress reports updated to reflect most current assessment and goal information 

Conducts monthly team meetings with all employees and Parent/guardian(s) present 

  • Review current status of programs 

Monitor {Behavior Technician} competencies and performance

  • Completes Employee Integrity Checklists 

  • Other treatment integrity measures 

  • Provide training to employees to promote development 

  • Assesses employee skills and uses BST to train employees 

Seeks further training and participates in professional development 

  • Interactions with co-workers are professional and conducive to an ethical environment

  • Focus is on objective observations, identification of problem, positive actions to take to resolve issues 

  • Maintains professional and respectful boundaries in conversations. 

  • Follows complaint policies when necessary  

 Additional Functions: 

·      Actively communicates Florida Behavior Support, LLC’s outreach efforts to community 

·      Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner 

·      Participates in professional meetings or conferences deemed to be beneficial program development 

·      Adheres to the mission, vision, and values of Florida Behavior Support, LLC   

 

Required Education and Experience: 

·      A master's degree and educational coursework completed in applied behavior analysis, child development, special education, psychology, or related field. 

·      Certification from the BACB® 

·      Demonstrate a thorough understanding of DTT, PECS, NET, and other ABA strategies. 

·      A minimum of three years' experience working directly with children with autism and/or developmental delays. 

·      A minimum of one-year experience supervising BTs.

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds 

  • Moderate to high stress levels 

  • Work will take place in a center-based setting. However, work may fluctuate between a center and school setting depending on the need of each client. Regular contact with Parent/guardian(s) /community members and outside agency personnel. 

  • Hazards: Incumbent may be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behavior. 

 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

 This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

 Travel 

 This position currently does not require travel. However, clients who are ready to transition into our school support program will require services to be provided in school and/or center.
